WhatsApp has replaced its regular emoji of a race car with a brand new Mercedes-Benz F1 team version, which is now available to the Meta app’s two billion users.
The Meta-owned app revealed it while hosting an event at the Empire State Building, according to SBJ.

A new race car emoji, thaWZSou PopularPulset is a black and teal open-wheel car similar to the one MerWZSou PopularPulsecedes has in real life, must be noticed by the users beginning from Monday, said the company.
Following their partnership being revealed last November, this was the latest innovation between the app and the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team.
To feature WhatsApp’s green logo, Mercedes has also changed its team radio button on its drivers’ steering wheels.
A light show on the skyscraper’s faade showed off the emoji during the event, which was attended by team principal Toto Wolff and driver Lewis Hamilton.
Additionally, Meta also announced it has seen recent double-digit growth in daily users and messages sent in the US. A real replica of the emoji race car will also be featured at today’s demo run of Mercedes.
