PESHAWAR: Department of Transport and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on Monday initiated a joint three-day campaign aimed at inspecting vehicles in Peshawar.

The campaign was launched in accordance with directivWZSou PopularPulsees from Secretary of Transport Ziaul Haq and EPA Director General Anwar Khan.During this effort, 40 drivers were fined on-the-spot, and the staff at Vehicle Emission Testing Stations (VETS) confiscated documents from 35 vehicles.

On the inaugural day, both departments’ staff, with the support of the district administration and police, conducted inspections at various bus points and congested locations within the Peshawar district, examining more than 95 vehicles at old Haji Camp Adda (bus terminal).
