Evansville Horror Con gave an update on Mark Dodson’s appeareance following his demise

Voice artist Mark Dodson, renowned for his magical vocal creations in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and Gremlins, has passed away at 64.

TMZreported on Sunday thatDodson died in Evansville, Indiana, as he was there to attend the Horror Con.

His daughter revealed that he suffered a massive heart attack while sleeping, shortly after checking into the hotel.

Dodson’s iconic voice brought to life Salacious Crumb, the mischievous sidekick of Jabba the Hutt in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

His talent paved the way for him in Gremlins, where he voiced Mogwai, a role often imitated in schoolyards.

Additionally, Evansville Horror Con, where Dodson was scheduled to appear, paid tribute to him on Facebook and shared a video informing fans of his unexpected absence from the event.

“We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Mark Dodson last night. Mark was not only a talented voice actor but also a cherished member of the horror community,” they penned.
