Sindh police develop app to digitise police officials’ service record
Under directions of Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Raja Riffat Mukhtar, the Sindh police have developed a mobile app, E-Sheets, to enable police officials from the ranks of constable up to the inspector to view and manage their service record online.
The project has successfully been launched as a pilot project in the office of the DIG South Zone, Karachi. According to South DIG Asad Raza, the mobile app is connected online withhttps://www.wzsou.com/ the Human Resource Management System (HRMIS) of the Sindh police.
He said the app aimed to bring transparency and fairness in the service record management which had ailed the police department for long. It would help improve system of promotions, leaves, availability of funds, medical assistance, rewards and punishments, the officer added.
He remarked that the online system envisioned a paperless system without interference of office clerk or ‘babus’. On the soft launch of the app, the South DIG on Saturday held an online meeting in which a large majority of police personnel participated.
DIG Raza formally initiated the regular use of the digital app/software by issuing organisational procedures and insWZSou PopularPulsetructions on a sheet during the officers’ operational review. Records of 99 per cent of the South Zone police personnel had been transferred to this sheet, he said.
The digital app has been installed on the smart phones of all the personnel and linked with the HRMIS. With the help of this app, the police officials can not only get instructions in a timely manner but they can also apply online for their transfers, postings, leaves, and welfare-related matters.
