Growing up in Melbourne, Australia, DJ Horizon discovered his love for music at 14. Since then, he was confident that he was specifically cut out for DJing and nothing else. Setting out to penetrate an already crowded industry was not an easy one. He was bullied several times by already-established artists much older than him. DJ Horizon vividly remembers getting bullied for taking press-shot photos and making live videos in his bedroom. He was trolled on social media for his distinct style of music and, even more, for taking DJing seriously as a career at such a young age.
Despite the setbacks and challenges, DJ Horizon kept pushing and working hard to hone his craft, believing he was destined to be a big player in the industry. After years of straight grinding and unwavering resolve in the industry, his talent was finally recognized, which paid off all his efforts. DJ Horizon became the first hip-hop DJ to get signed by Lucky Entertainment in Australia, a fast-growing company in the global dance and music scene. Since then, DJ Horizon has never looked back on his career as opportunities started flowing one after the other.
DJ Horizon was also signed by Mushroom Group, one of Australia’s largest music and entertainment labels.
The recognition he gained from this soon got him the opportunity to become the face of the iconic music festival – RNB FRIDAYS LIVE, the largest music festival in Australia. He considers this to be a milestone in his career. In the spirit of gratitude, DJ Horizon believes every childhood aspiration has been fulfilled and more.
The next significant achievement in his career was performing at the iconic Marvel Stadium in his home town Melbourne, Australia, in front of an audience of 70,000 people. Starting his journey as a DJ from his bedroom with no high-end equipment or guide, DJ Horizon gradually climbed the ladder of success with every performance to become a sought-after name in the music industry in Australia.
Horizon has already developed a whopping fan following on social media, amassing over 40 million views on his TikTok account. He has performed for several big names in the industry, such as Drake, Usher, Lil Uzi Vert, Playboy Carti, A$AP Rocky, Jason Derulo, and Trey Songz, among many others
This year, DJ Horizon plans to relocate to Dubai to take his career to the next level. Regardless of which part of the world he resides, Australia will always be home for Horizon. He will continue to make fresh and unique music in R&B and Hip-hop and enthrall his fans with every performance.
