After cancelling seven dates of her North American tour amid low ticket sales, Jennifer Lopez rebrands the tour to a greatest hits show with ‘This Is Me… Live.’
Initially announced to coincide with the release of her new album, This Is Me… Now, and its accompanying Prime Video film and documentary, Lopez’s “This Is Me… Now” tour has been renamed to “This Is Me… Live | The Greatest Hits.” Her first North American tour in five years, several dates were quietly cancelled due to poor sales in cities like Nashville and Cleveland.
While the latest rebrand may not be directly related to uninspiring ticket sales, fans less enthused about her latest material may be enticed by a greatest hits run.
While Live Nation’s site has not been updated to reflect the tour rebranding, several listings now feature conflicting titles. Some of the venues hosting Lopez’s performances have updated the listings on their sites, including Inglewood’s The Forum and Palm Springs’ Acrisure Arena. Sponsored Facebook ads for the tour also features the new tour direction.
Released in February, This Is Me… Now only sold 14,000 copies its first week. Due to exceeding 11,000 in physical sales, the album debuted atop the Billboard Top Album Sales Chart and hit No. 38 on the Billboard 200 — the second of her nine studio albums to fall outside the top 10.
The album struggled to find its audience as part of Lopez’s self-financed $20 million project that included the tour and two films: “This Is Me… Now: A Love Story,” and a documentary about the film called “The Greatest Love Story Never Told.” Described as a look at “Lopez’s life as a serial romantic,” the film follows (a somewhat fictional retelling of) the rekindling of her relationship with actor Ben Affleck. The two married in 2022 after spending almost 20 years apart.
