Speaking for myself and the unclaimed Mechanical Royalties accrued. My suggestion is to give the independent artists – musicians an opportunity to make claim of those Royalties the same as the Ckass Action Settlement with youTube SONY – Universal for $52 million in Canada ??. My hit single “I’m A Slave 4 U” that Dave Aude mixed overtop of both my blueprint and Source Copy recently was pulled by youTube which announces that I had the over 89 thousand view video removed. Ole Publishing and the CMMRRA along with Caroline Rioux have performed a very illegal disservice. Circumventing is illegal and we don’t want our Royalties absorbed by the PRO’s in the 3 year rule. Open up the vault and let us make claim, it’s then up to the record companies and publishers to claim otherwise, or shut their mouths for the systemic theft of Copyright. SR (Sound Recording) is a messy concept for a weak Copyright and I for one would make a sizeable claim of that “orphaned cash” before the major players get a crack at it.
